This presentation discusses the foundation of dyslexia, the evidence behind the topic, myths, facts and known solutions. The presentation can range from 1.5 - 3 hours depending on the audience and desired objectives.

A variety of available assistive technology options to aid in decoding, comprehension and organization are discussed. Bring your device and share your favorite technology aids! This presentation ranges from 1.5 hours for an overview and brief demonstration to 3 hours for more in-depths explanations and hands on time with your device.
Effective classroom accommodations for those with Dyslexia.
This presentation is applicable for teachers, aides, administration, parents and students. Foundational and proven accommodations along with successful implementation strategies are shared. This presentation ranges from 1- 1.5 hours depending on the size and mix of the audience
Preparing for an IEP meeting
This presentation prepares schools and parents for an successful and collaborative IEP meeting. Content covers basic rights and responsibilities, an overview of the process and what you can expect. Collaboration, self advocacy and awareness of options are the focus. Resources for an escalation process may be provided if desired. This is NOT a legal course and individual situations will not be addressed. The presentation is 1- 1.5 hours in length.
Let's Shed Some Light on Dyslexia
This presentation is applicable to teachers, aides, administration, families, and parents. It gives an overview of dyslexia including a section on the social emotional effects dyslexia has on students. It helps teacher's to identify signs and symptoms in their students and gives some accommodations they can use with them. This presentation ranges from 1.5-2 hours.
This interactive workshop is perfect for teachers, speech therapists, family members, service providers or anyone interested in learning more about dyslexia! Its purpose is to help those who teach, love and live with children and adults with dyslexia to better understand their daily struggles and help them learn more effective ways to help them cope with their reading struggles. Please be prepared to take part in activities that will simulate for you the struggles that people with dyslexia deal with everyday. This presentation ranges from 1-1.5 hours
